Dr. Carol L. Bouwer stands as one of Africa’s most influential voices—renowned internationally for her visionary leadership across media, business, cultural preservation, and human rights advocacy. Dr. Bouwer first rose to national prominence as a presenter and actor before becoming one of South Africa’s most iconic television hosts through Motswako, the groundbreaking women’s talk show that revolutionised representation on SABC2 for 21 seasons. The show positioned her as a champion of women’s empowerment, equality, health, leadership, and justice.
