Dineo Mofokeng Nominated for the Clevenard Media Award 2026 in the Free State, South Africa Free State, South Africa — Saturday, 14 March 2026

The prestigious Clevenard Media Award 2026, a global celebration of excellence in entertainment, entrepreneurship, leadership, innovation, and cultural diplomacy, will take place in the vibrant Free State, South Africa. This year’s event will also feature the Clevenard Seminar & Panel Discussion Forum 2026, bringing together world leaders, entrepreneurs, creatives, and changemakers from across the world.

Among the outstanding nominees is Dineo Mofokeng, a visionary leader and humanitarian dedicated to improving healthcare systems, empowering communities, and uplifting vulnerable individuals throughout South Africa.

Dineo Mofokeng – A Champion for Community Health and Empowerment

  • Award category: Women Empowerment & Social Change Award

Dineo Mofokeng is the founder and director of Progressive Primary Health Care (PPHC), a non-profit organization she has successfully led since September 2007. Guided by her life principle of putting people first, Dineo’s mission through PPHC has been to strengthen the health system while transforming the lives of vulnerable communities across the Free State province and beyond.

Her passion for community health is rooted in her early aspiration to become a professional nurse — a dream that was temporarily interrupted by financial constraints. Refusing to give up, Dineo pursued a path of self-development, earning multiple professional certifications, including Epidemiology of HIV and TB from the University of Cape Town, Leadership and Strategic Planning, Financial Management, Higher Certificate in Management, Certificate in Research of HIV/AIDS in the Workplace, and Certificate in Project Management.

Her commitment and leadership have earned her numerous accolades from various institutions and community stakeholders. Notably, she received an award from the Lejweleputswa District Municipality for her outstanding work within local clinics — particularly her innovative role in establishing adherence clubs that have helped chronic patients stay consistent with their treatments, leading to improved viral suppression and patient stability.

Dineo also received recognition from Soul City for her impactful work in reducing teenage pregnancy and HIV infections, as well as for her advocacy around HPV awareness and education on statutory rape among teenagers.

Her influence extends to several leadership roles, including Chairperson of the Free State Women Sector and Member of the Coordinating Committee of Civil Society, where she continues to advocate for women’s rights, health equity, and social justice.

A passionate gender-based violence (GBV) advocate, Dineo provides direct support and ongoing counseling to victims of GBV and rape. She also empowers single parents through support groups and uses her platform as a motivational speaker to bring hope to those facing despair.

Through her unwavering dedication, Dineo Mofokeng has become a pillar of strength and an inspiration to many—demonstrating that resilience, compassion, and service can create lasting social change.

Rosy Sefuthi – A Story of Courage and Hope

The Clevenard Media Award 2026 also recognizes individuals like Rosy Sefuthi, whose journey is a profound testament to courage, faith, and resilience. After losing her sister to cancer and later facing her own battle with ovarian cancer, Rosy turned her pain into purpose.

As a cancer survivor, she founded the Rossy Sefuthi Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to cancer awareness, patient support, and hope outreach. Through her foundation, Rosy conducts awareness campaigns, visits hospitals across the Free State, provides meals to out-patients, and motivates those fighting for their lives. Despite limited resources, she continues to use her own means to bring comfort and inspiration to others — a true embodiment of selflessness and humanity.

Her vision is to take her message beyond South Africa’s borders, spreading awareness and hope globally. The Rossy Sefuthi Foundation remains a beacon of hope, reminding many that even in the darkest moments, healing and renewal are possible.
