AITEC World Representative Co-Anchors Uganda’s 63rd Independence Celebration in Cairo

Cairo, Egypt — October 9, 2025:

AITEC World’s Regional Representative for North Africa, Amb. Nancy Abdelhadi, proudly co-anchored the 63rd Independence Anniversary Celebration of the Republic of Uganda alongside Mr. Allan Tazenya, Commercial Attaché at the Embassy of Uganda in Cairo. The prestigious event was held at the Triumph Luxury Hotel Ballroom in Cairo.

Hosted by the Embassy of the Republic of Uganda in Cairo, the evening brought together ambassadors, dignitaries, government officials, business leaders, and members of the African and diplomatic communities for a memorable celebration of Uganda’s national pride and heritage.

The Charge d’Affaires a.i., H.E. Ambassador General Charles Angina, opened the event with a stirring address highlighting the historic ties between Uganda and Egypt and their shared vision for African unity and economic cooperation. The Guest of Honour, Hon. Mohamed Gobran, Egypt’s Minister of Labour, commended Uganda’s remarkable development strides and its vital contribution to Africa’s progress. Also delivering remarks was the Dean of African Ambassadors, H.E. Dr. Mohamadou Labarang, Ambassador of Cameroon, who underscored the enduring spirit of solidarity among African nations.

Guests enjoyed a vibrant showcase of Ugandan culture, including traditional performances, captivating “Explore Uganda” tourism reels, and immersive visuals that brought to life the nation’s renowned natural beauty — from the shores of Lake Victoria and the majestic Rwenzori Mountains to the lush Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home of the rare mountain gorillas.

The celebration concluded with a ceremonial cake-cutting and a grand dinner featuring authentic Ugandan cuisine, accompanied by music and dance that filled the ballroom with warmth, joy, and national pride.

As co-Masters of Ceremony, Amb. Nancy Abdelhadi and Mr. Allan Tazenya guided the evening with poise, eloquence, and infectious enthusiasm, creating a spirit of unity and celebration befitting Uganda’s 63rd Independence Anniversary.
