Honouring Hon Quadri-adu Shakir Kehinde – Outstanding Contribution to African Tourism and Cultural Diplomacy Awardee

Among the distinguished honourees of the Clevenard Media Award 2025 is Quadri-adu Shakir Kehinde, a visionary tourism and culture advocate whose work has advanced African heritage and cultural diplomacy on both national and international platforms. He will be celebrated with the Outstanding Contribution to African Tourism and Cultural Diplomacy Award.

Hon Kehinde is a Chartered Management Consultant and Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants, currently serving as the FCT Secretary of the Institute of Tourism Professionals of Nigeria. Recognised by the Commonwealth Nations as one of Africa’s Emerging Leaders, he has represented Nigeria in major cultural and trade events across Africa, the Caribbean, Europe, and the United States.

He previously served as Head of Culture and Tourism at the African Union–ECOSOCC, where he advanced the AU Agenda 2063 vision by promoting African heritage, uniting tourism stakeholders across Nigeria, and initiating youth training programs in film, tour guiding, and cultural enterprise. His leadership has also been demonstrated through his coordination of Africa’s participation in the USA Trade with Africa Business Summit in Chicago, his role on the Nigerian committee for the Intra-Africa Trade Fair in Cairo, and his advocacy for continental tourism initiatives, including from the Saharawi Republic.

Currently, Hon Kehinde serves as President of the Afro-Caribbean Chamber of Culture and Tourism (ACCCAT), where he continues to build cultural and economic bridges between Africa and the world. Through this role, he champions heritage preservation, cultural diplomacy, and tourism-driven economic growth, ensuring Africa’s voice remains strong on the global stage.

His recognition at the Clevenard Media Award 2025 celebrates not just his personal achievements, but his lasting contributions to African unity, cultural pride, and global representation.
