Maryline Zita Marie Declares for Lalyans Nouvo Sesel as Two SUM Candidates Formally Pledge Support to Alain St.Ange

Maryline Zita Marie, former Executive Committee Member of the Seychelles United Movement (SUM) and past Chairperson of its Women’s Organisation, has officially declared her support for Lalyans Nouvo Sesel and its presidential candidate, Alain St.Ange.

In a meeting with Mr. St.Ange, Ms. Marie stated that she no longer has confidence in the leadership of SUM, emphasizing that Seychelles stands at a decisive turning point and requires bold leadership, meaningful reform, and a people-first vision. She affirmed that these values are embodied in Lalyans Nouvo Sesel under the leadership of Alain St.Ange.

Her announcement comes alongside a significant development: two SUM candidates, still officially on the ballot under the party’s banner, have signed formal Letters of Support pledging their endorsement of Alain St.Ange. In their declarations, they voiced strong confidence in the leadership and direction of Lalyans Nouvo Sesel and have since been urging voters to unite behind the call: “Vote St.Ange for President.”

With a senior former SUM leader and two of its candidates now openly rallying behind Alain St.Ange, the momentum behind Lalyans Nouvo Sesel continues to build—signaling a rising call for change and a new direction for Seychelles.
