Palma de Mallorca, Spain — For the first time, the vibrant Mediterranean city of Palma de Mallorca will host the Clevenard Media Award 2025, spotlighting excellence in entertainment, entrepreneurship, fashion, innovation, and community empowerment. This landmark event will bring together visionary entrepreneurs, creatives, government figures, NGOs, and community leaders from around the world to honor those who transform society through leadership, courage, and dedication.

Among the distinguished nominees is Cllr Dr. Pauline Kehinde Akhere George, an accomplished public servant, humanitarian, and trailblazer in British politics who has dedicated her career to empowering communities, championing youth, and promoting cultural unity.

The daughter of His Royal Highness, The Odague of Okhuesan Ishan, Benin City, Edo State, Dr. George has exemplified excellence and resilience, rising through political leadership in the United Kingdom to become the first female British-Nigerian Mayor of Lambeth in the council’s history, serving proudly as Mayor of the London Borough of Lambeth 2022/23 after years of distinguished service in multiple council committees and leadership roles.

Elected Councillor in May 2018, she founded the Positive Future Lambeth Forum in February 2019 — an initiative focused on the prevention of youth violence. Continuing her commitment to cultural and community development, in February 2025 she launched the first Yoruba Language and First Aid Class, merging heritage education with essential life-saving skills for the benefit of local families.

Currently, she serves as Tackling Violence Affecting Young People’s Champion at Lambeth Council, working closely with the Lambeth Borough Police Commander, the Metropolitan Police, and the Cabinet Member for Safer Communities to improve safety and protect vulnerable young people.

Dr. George’s professional background is equally impressive. She is a qualified lawyer with a CPE in Law and a Master’s in International Law, specializing in Employment Law, where since 2008 she has represented and advocated for clients in employment tribunals.

Before her legal career, Dr. George excelled in the medical field as a Specialist Nurse and Midwife Manager, successfully leading and mentoring countless nurses, midwives, and even medical doctors to achieve excellence in patient care. Her leadership extended beyond hospitals into public education, as she became a radio and television presenter in England from 2005 onward, using platforms such as Ben Television, Prestige TV, Nija FM Radio, and Surprise Radio to educate communities about health and research developments — earning her the affectionate nickname “Sweetmother.”

Guided by the values of transparency, accountability, unity, justice, fairness, and integrity, Dr. George continues to inspire change and foster empowerment wherever she serves, leaving a legacy of inclusion, cultural pride, and dedicated service to humanity.
