CITATION OF LADY JUDITH AKPOMEJEWVE NWACHUKWU

Nominee, Clevenard Media Award 2025

  • Category: Women in Arts, Advocacy & Humanitarian Impact
  • Job Title: Medical Laboratory Scientist | Gospel Minister | Humanitarian Advocate

In a world enriched by diverse talents and transformative leaders, some lives speak louder through their purpose, passion, and service. Lady Judith Akpomejewve Nwachukwu is one such woman — a gifted medical professional, gospel artist, and humanitarian whose life reflects a steadfast commitment to excellence, compassion, and the empowerment of others.

Born into the esteemed Deniran family of Ethiope West in Delta State, and maternally connected to the Agboola family of Osun State, Lady Judith's roots span Nigeria’s rich cultural landscape. She is a woman of discipline, vision, and grace — respected for her ability to blend science, spirituality, and service in equal measure.

A proud alumna of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science, specializing in Haematology and Blood Serology. She served for a decade in the Medical Department of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) in Lagos, where she distinguished herself as a dedicated and principled medical scientist.

Beyond her clinical achievements, Lady Judith embraced her calling in gospel music. She is the recording artist and producer of the inspirational album “There’s a Name”, which features popular tracks like “Valued for Life” and “Thank You”. Her unique voice and message earned her national acclaim and opportunities to minister as the lead singer during major evangelical crusades, including Benny Hinn’s “Heal Our Land” and Reinhard Bonnke’s gospel outreach in 2005.

In 1998, she co-founded the Association of Female Musicians of Nigeria (AFEMUN), becoming a pioneering voice for women in music. Her work alongside legends such as Onyeka Onwenu, Salawa Abeni, and Ese Agesse positioned her as a cultural bridge and advocate for women’s artistic expression and empowerment.

Lady Judith Akpomejewve Nwachukwu is a beacon of peace, justice, and equity. A medical laboratory scientist by training, a gospel minister by calling, and a humanitarian by passion, she continues to champion causes that uplift the human spirit and promote social harmony.
