This landmark celebration brings together changemakers—visionary entrepreneurs, creatives, government figures, NGOs, and thought leaders—from around the world to recognize individuals whose work is transforming communities and industries through passion, leadership, and innovation.

Among the distinguished nominees is LIMFENYUY KONGNSO Cyrille, a seasoned hospitality executive, tourism educator, and international consultant with over 15 years of cross-continental experience in hotel operations, academic instruction, and strategic development.

Born in Cameroon on June 26, 1982, Cyrille has built a global reputation for excellence in tourism education, hospitality leadership, and consultancy. His educational portfolio includes a Diploma in Travel Agency Management, an IATA Diploma in EBT and Airfares & Ticketing, a Diploma in Secretariat and Administrative Studies, an Advanced Diploma in Tourism, and a Bachelor’s in Public Service and Administration. He further earned a Dual Executive MBA in Travel, Tourism & Hospitality Management from India and is currently preparing to defend his PhD at Madison International Institute of Business (Rabat, Morocco campus).

Fluent in English, French, and German, Cyrille’s multilingual skills have enabled him to thrive in diverse professional and cultural settings across Africa, Europe, and North America.

He currently serves as an Assistant Lecturer in Tourism and Hospitality Management at the University of Buea, Cameroon, and is the Director of Global Connect Consulting Solutions Ltd., which offers expertise in tourism development, hospitality operations, and strategic business solutions.

His past leadership roles include:

• Director, Gilgal Tower Luxury Hotel Apartments (2022–2025)
• Interim Director of Operations, Hotel Benoue, Garoua (2022)
• Sales and Marketing Manager, Tagidor Garden Resort & Spa (5-star), Bangou (2021)

In academia, he previously taught at the University of Bamenda (2012–2021) and the Higher Institute of Business Management and Technology in Buea (2010–2012).

Cyrille is also an active member of several professional bodies including:

• Hotel and Tourism Stakeholders Association (Fako)
• Association of Tourism Professionals (Cameroon)
• Association of Hospitality Professionals (Buea)
• Executive Member, RE BRANDING Cameroon
• International Coalition of Tourism Partners

African Tourism Board

He is the co-founder of the Cameroon Tourism Students Network and a past president of Round Table International, Cameroon Chapter. As president, he led community impact initiatives such as annual blood drives and “Back to School” programs supporting orphans, young mothers, and underserved children.

Cyrille is married to Lekeufack Valerie Fonkem, and together they are raising four children: Maryann-Tiffany, Madelyn-Kirstyn, Brandon-Romaric, and Cyrille-Valerie.
