Grace Alexander Nominated for Clevenard Media Award 2025

Palma de Mallorca, Spain — The vibrant Mediterranean city of Palma de Mallorca will, for the first time, host the Clevenard Media Award 2025, a global celebration of excellence in entrepreneurship, innovation, advocacy, entertainment, fashion, and community impact. The event, taking place on Friday, November 21, 2025, will bring together global changemakers whose leadership, resilience, and dedication are shaping a better world.

Among this year’s distinguished nominees is Grace Alexander, recognized in the category of Community Advocacy & Inclusive Social Impact.

Grace Alexander is the founder and award-winning CEO of the Star Children Development Initiative (SCDI) — a UK-based organization dedicated to supporting Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) parents of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Drawing from her own lived experience as the mother of a child with a disability, Grace launched SCDI to raise awareness about disability rights, provide educational support, and advocate for inclusive systems that protect and empower every child.

A trauma-informed care specialist and Strength Factory Coach, Grace is uniquely equipped to support families navigating the emotional, psychological, and systemic challenges that often come with raising children with special needs. She understands firsthand the mental health toll, social stigma, and lack of resources that many families endure — and she is committed to changing that reality.

Grace is also a passionate voice for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). Through her work with communities and organizations, she actively works to embed inclusive practices aligned with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), ensuring that no one is left behind — especially children and individuals living with disabilities.

Her leadership continues to inspire parents, advocates, educators, and professionals across sectors, offering both practical tools and deep compassion to those on similar journeys.
