"These have been excellent presentations on achieving food security and food sufficiency. Not only have we learnt how it was successfully done in the past and how to recover lost grounds, we were also presented ,with the example of JR Farms, how to maximize the technological resources available globally in contemporary times. Mr. Olawale Rotimi’s entrepreneurial vision, knowledge and passion should challenge and motivate all of us, but most especially other youth like him, to venture into the field, and put our different skills into practice - as farmers, artistes, IT specialists or other areas critical to our development. Growing up as a child, I remember that my primary school had a farm around the corner where we would go every Thursday or Friday to reinforce what we learnt in our Nature Study class. Later, of course, I attended Mayflower school where farming was, o and still is integral to the school system and students plant quite a bit of the foods we eat." - Professor.
