HASTE IS WASTE‍♂️‍♀️❌❗

HASTE IS WASTE‍♂️‍♀️❌❗

Haste is when we engage in excessive speed or urgency of movement or action. It is when we are in a hurry to do or to become something. Haste has become the nature of the twentieth first century man that we no longer see it as an aberration, that is a departure from what is normal, natural, usual, or expected.

We are in the “Jet age” some would say, and things are moving very fast that we need to catch up with them. Everybody seems to be racing against time. Our generation wants everything as fast as possible. It is in this generation we hear of “fast food”, “fast lane”, “wait and get passports”, “one minute noodles”, “fast education”, etc

Today, children are over stuffed with programs and activities just to force them to grow up hurriedly. Children get bicycles early, the female children have their tender hairs curled early, they are permitted to watch certain dramas and movies meant for adults, they enter schools too early. Intimate opposite sex friendship, dating and courtship start as early as possible and there is virtually nothing left for them to experience when they become adults.

No wonder we don’t grow old anymore and apparently, everywhere you look, you see failure, broken homes, joblessness, rape, corruption, crime and all manner of evil and eventually early death!

Why do we hurry? For they who hurry through life are hastening to the tomb. It doesn't pay.

Take time sufficient for everything you do. Take time to eat properly. Take time to rest and play. Take time for politeness. Take time to pass over the road of life — and if you fail and fall among the rocks, arise again and struggle on; let not hurry or worry divert you from your path. Study your nature. You will be healthy, happy and successful. ~Lilla D. Windsor, "Don't Hurry," Health Magazine, October 1899

I'm in a hurry to get things done
Oh I rush and rush until life's no fun
All I've really gotta do is live and die
But I'm in a hurry and don't know why....
~Roger Murrah and Randy VanWarmer

We seem to have forgotten that though time seems to be moving fast, God the creator in His infinite wisdom has programmed life and time in the way that it comes in sequence.
God made time, but man made haste. ~Irish Proverb

Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished. ~Lao Tzu

The West has made people too time-conscious, not knowing where they are going but speeding to get there because time is short. ~Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh

I am sure that all most all of us for one reason or the other have regrets. How many times have you told yourself, “Oh, I shouldn’t have acted so fast?”

Learn from your past experiences.
Take time to analyze various options. If you need additional information, make sure you turn to a knowledgeable and reliable source.
What worked for someone else may not be appropriate for you. Each person has their own unique circumstances. Take time to evaluate all information as it relates to your situation before you take major decisions in life and in your business. Please, take a lot of time to know and be yourself!

Any action you take should make sense for you. Acting because of peer pressure is not necessarily in your best interest. Acting to avoid criticism isn’t a good idea either. It’s your life and you are the only one who has to live with the consequences of your action.

Listen to your intuition. If a particular course of action doesn’t feel right you must understand why. If hesitation is based on fear, is the fear warranted? Perhaps taking a particular course of action will produce a result you don’t really want. Any action you take should be compatible with your morals and goals.
Acting in haste creates more problems than it solves. Before taking action, be aware, think, analyze, and assess your various alternatives.
Never be in a hurry; do everything quietly and in a calm spirit.

Do not lose your inner peace for anything whatsoever, even if your whole world seems upset. ~St Francis de Sales

Once you stop rushing through life, you will be amazed how much more life you have time for. ~Author Unknown
