GOVERNOR OBASEKI COMMISSIONS THE ESAN YOUTH EMPOWERMENT CENTRE( EYE-C) IN IGUEBEN.

The Esan Youths Empowerment Centre ( EYE-C), an initiative of Dr Pascal and Lady Winifred Ebhohimen has been commissioned in Igueben, in Igueben local government area of Edo state.
The initiative was birthed out of the visionary,s strong desire to create opportunities for the engagement of the teeming population of able bodied youths and other economically active persons in Esan Land in productive activities.
In the words of Dr. Pascal, the center is designed with facilities to improve the Esan youths access to knowledge and skills in vocational, business, professional areas, improve their access to funds, ICT and link them to markets for their finished products and services.
The center will also provide educational services including an e-learning platform ( www.studentslip.com) for our youths .
It has two major departments which are, the Entrepreneurial Skill Acquisition centre and a Financial Supermarket which is a one stop shop for all financial services and products to carve a way of deepening financial inclusion of our people .
Other features are Educational services including conducting research in support of educational development in Esan land , regulatory institutions ( CBN, NDIC etc) at the local level.
Hopefully , the centre powered by the Esan Development Organization ( EDO) , an NGO , will partner with several groups including Bank of Agriculture, Bank of Industry , Edojobs , Finance development Institutions, Opec Fund for rural development, Trade and professional associations, and governments at all levels to deliver on its arching objectives of empowering our youths who are the future of our nation .
The center was commissioned on the 20th of October, 2023 by His excellency, the Executive Governor of Edo State ably represented by his Hon Commissioner for youth and Humanitarian affairs, Edo state , jointly with HRM, Eluojierior Madojiemu, the Onogie of Igueben and Okaigun of Esan.
Dr Pascal noted that it was a day of life fulfilment for him and his wife , having the opportunity to give back to his community
