I always consider myself as very fortunate and bssed, to be the first child of Adunni Adenekan (Ìyá Ìjẹ̀sà ).

Today is one of the most happiest days in my life because, I am not writing this tribute in honor of her legacies, after she must have passed away. However, I thank God Almighty that my mother will have the amazing grace to read this tribute.

We are blessed indeed!

Mummy, you taught all your children, Adeyinka (David), Fọlasade (Beatrice), Adesọla (Solomon) and Adeboye (Christopher) the ways of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Yes, you have us as a divine arrow in your hands and you have pointed us in the way of righteousness.

I remember growing up as a child, how you instilled in us, the importance of discipline and good character.

Let me paraphrase one of your quotes while growing up under your shield; "You will not eat in my house on a Sunday if you refuse to go to church to honor my God because, the food you want to eat is provided by my God (Jesus)."

Mummy, your uncommon love extended beyond your biological children. You raised other kids who today have excelled in their various human endeavors among them are Aderonkẹ and Titilọla.

Hmmm, every child you nursed or raised are blessed. Who has come under your roof as a mother that is not blessed today? None!

Moreover, I consider myself as the most blessed because, my destiny to be a great voice in the annals of human history will probably have been disrupted or abrupted without the strong backing of a rare gem such as you, Mummy Adunni Lydia Adenẹkan.

Also, growing up as a child, our house was like another Mecca of sorts (the gathering of true love and friendship). All the friends of your children, you also treated as your own children. Mummy, you cooked for all of us, and all of us ate from the same pot. Some of our friends spent weekends or vacations in our house.

Mummy, do you know some of my friends still remember your delicious ewédú soup?

Mummy Adunni Lydia Adenẹkan, you have touched many lives and may your generation continue to multiple, flourish, prosper and replenish the earth with righteousness.

We love you and pray that you continue to age with grace.

Mummy, even in your old age, you will continue to flourish like a palm tree.

Madan Adunni Lydia Adenẹkan, you are a rare gem indeed!
