Man of great courage!

Sanusi Lamido Sanusi is one of a kind. In my opinion, the man Sanusi is a great man of enormous stature. He is far from being a saint but he stands head and shoulders above so many of his type. The wisdom and thoughtfulness of my brother Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, are beyond comprehension.

I compare the man to the legendary and icon of our time, the late sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo. We come across such as personalities once in a life time.

Whenever an individual chooses to challenge constituted authorities, and prevailing culture of impunity just like Sanusi has done over the years, such person runs the risk of being crushed by the full weight of power which could easily led to social isolation and/or in worse situation total elimination. This is sadly often the price that many men and women of immense integrity have to pay.

Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, like some of us, has the reputation of speaking truth to power damning the consequences. Knowing his person, I often wondered why he allowed himself to be crowned the Emir of Kano - I support however that God has orchestrated his path in life.

My dear brother Sanusi, the saga of your disposition should only be seen as a blessing in disguise. Your potentials, abilities, know-how and immense integrity are required beyond the crown, I want to believe.

Nothing like the current fiasco happens by accident. Remember sir, every obstacle placed in the path of the biblical Joseph eventually catapulted him to prominence.

You have, and hopefully continue, to echo through your rhetoric directly and indirectly that the labour of our heroes' past on your account shall never be in vain.

In the journey through life, a lot happens. I want to encourage you to draw consolation from the following six points:

Life can be unfair, but God is always good;
Staying close to God and trusting Him will heal your wounds;
You most know that He understands;
Trust that God will bring good out of your pains;
Suffering will end one day for those who trust in God;
The fact that God is always there should be more than enough for you.

I stand in solidarity with you a hundred per cent. It's time to regroup and focus on the Ultimate! You have been created for this purpose. I encourage you to continue to fulfil and travel on the path of your God-given destiny. It is never going to be an easy journey but one that is worthwhile.

You are a champion in the making! Stay blessed my brother and continue to be hopeful.
