An American pastor who's been detained in Turkey since 2016 could get released ,which was told by unnamed sources that the Trump administration recently reached a deal with Turkey over Andrew Brunson. The pastor's been at the heart of rising tensions between the U.S. and Turkey, which have led to escalating sanctions and tariffs. Brunson's accused of terrorism and espionage and faces up to 35 years in prison if convicted.Turkey would drop some of the charges against Brunson court hearing in exchange for the U.S. lifting sanctions. At least part of the deal was negotiated in September when both U.S. and Turkish officials were in New York City for the U.N. General Assembly meeting.
