IS OUR SECURITY FORCES SERIOUS IN THE FIGHT AGAINST THE CONTROVERSIAL CORONA VIRUS IN SIERRA LEONE?
I sometimes laugh whenever seeing security forces using their unpatriotic ploy to extort money from poor citizens with the pretence of fighting the Covid-19 but deep in their heart they are not.
Social distance amongst many other things is one of the precousionary protocols to prevent Corona virus. I must state here with factuality that the Sierra Leone police is not serious in curbing the entrance of the virus if at all is here.
These photos depict a clear epitome of the unpatriotic and careless fight against the covid-19 in Sierra Leone by Sierra Leone police at Congo Cross.
The photos you are seeing is opposite the Sierra Leone police station, Congo Cross Division, where crop of you men assemble after school all in the of immorality ie looking for girlfriends. The issue of young men coming to Congo Cross is to my greatest suprise whether the Sierra Leone police in this part of the country is not aware of such.
Another thing that came to my mind has to do with security. A Security Analyst, Ishaka Swaray, Security Department, university of South Africa once said "It is better up preventing calamity than curbing". In lieu to the above quotation, I think it is timely enough to start thinking of preventing these young men from clustering together after school.
