Barcelona are considering making a second bid for Chelsea winger Willian after seeing their first bid rejected on Thursday night.

The La Liga side made a bid worth around £50m for the Brazilian, which included Malcom going in the opposite direction, according to the Standard.

And while Willian has just 18 months left on his current contract, the club don’t want to lose the 30-year-old - though there are currently no talks planned yet on a new deal.

Willian has taken part in 30 of 32 games under Maurizio Sarri this season.

Bayern Munich’s negotiations with Chelsea over a potential deal for Callum Hudson-Odoi are reportedly being complicated by the Premier League side’s insistence that a buy-back clause be inserted, with the German champions reluctant to agree to the clause.

The Premier League side are now wary of letting players go without inserting these clauses, according to, due to missing out on Romelu Lukaku two years ago and paying a huge premium when re-signing Nemanja Matic from Benfica.

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri claimed that Bayern had acted unprofessionally in their pursuit of the winger, and that they “didn’t respect our club”.

Chelsea are closing in on a deal for Zenit St Petersburg midfielder Leandro Paredes as they have been priced out of a move for Cagliari’s Nicolo Barella.

Both men were seen as options to replace Cesc Fabregas ahead of his move to Monaco, with Sportitalia now reporting that Chelsea have had “advanced discussions” with Zenit about Paredes.

Chelsea have been linked with a move for Napoli defender Elseid Hysaj this January transfer window.

According to the Express, Napoli are open to offers for the 24-year-old, with his agent Mario Giuffredi speaking out on the possibility of a move away from the Stadio San Paolo.

However, Giuffredi apparently doesn’t want his player stuck in a long running transfer saga and has made it clear that anyone wanting to sign Hysaj will be better off moving quickly and signing him this month.

Reports have surfaced that the Blues are willing to spend £50million if they fail in a bid to bring Gonzalo Higuain to the club to replace Alvaro Morata but Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe is ready to shoot down the rumours.
