He was born in 1931 into a Christian Methodist Family, he grew up in a vicarage with a father who was a clergyman. He attended Ahmadu Bello University before proceeding to the London School of Journalism. He was best known for his role as ‘Chief Eleyinmi’ of the long running TV Drama series ‘The Village Headmaster’ written by the late Ambassador Olusegun Olushola.

As a traditional ruler, Oba Adeolu attracted attention to his home-town of Ode Remo and used both his influence and goodwill for the benefit of the community in terms of development and the maintenance of peace and stability. He was decorated in 1997: the national honour, Officer of the Order of Niger (OON).

He took part in many theatre, TV and film productions including, “Things Fall Apart” “ Countdown at Kusini” and “Son Of Africa”.

The King died on August 21, 2008 at Kings College Hospital in London at the age of 77. There was some obnoxious report about his funeral rites but it remains a "dern", a taboo forbidden on the lips of man. A kìí gbó búburú lénu abọrẹ, mọ́ sínú mọ̀ síkùn.
