It is no more a news that the church of God known for prayer and biblical doctrine, Christ Apostolic Church
is passing through serious crisis for more than a decade which led to the breaking of the church into faction.

According to one of the leading prophets in this denomination, Prophet JOSEPH GEGEOJU a.k.a AROLE BABALOLA,
when he was chatting with our correspondent in an interview, he said that so many meetings of reconcillation had been called for but
to no avail.
At a programme organised by the faction that claimed to be the bearer of the original Christ Apostolic Church certificate at
Christ Apostolic Church Odo Ona,Apata Ibadan,
our correspondent in an interview session with the general secretary Pastor David Udofia, he briefly explained the cause and
the only way out of the crisis in the Christ Apostolic Church.

Que: Can we meet you sir?

Ans: My name is Pastor Udofia

Ous: How many factions of CAC do we have now sir?

Ans:The Christ Apostolic Church is divided into six but only three is majorly recognized.

Qus: What led to the division of the great church?

Ans: It was divided due to the crisis in 1990 by some pastors who took over the leadership of the church forcefully; and went ahead to establish another one.
The confusion increased when these people tried to win over some members of the supreme council. They also went ahead to collect another certificate from the
Corporate Affairs Commission(CAC) in Abuja in an unappropriate way; and because they are financially stable, they persuade people to join them.

Ques: What do you think is the cause of this crisis in the Christ Apostolic Church?

Ans: The crisis was caused by the over ambitiousness of some ordained Pastors in 1970 to take over the authority of the church as they offered to help the church in order
to retire the Pastors that were there.These Pastors also tried to bribe the four principal Pastors that were in authority of which three of them agreed and only one opposed.
As these Pastors continued in thier scheme, they realised that they needed a valid certificate and the certificate was with Pastor M.E Udofia whom they offered money to retire but he refused and was being intimidated.That
was how the whole chaos started.
During this period, the Sunday School Supritendent, Pastor Oluseye had just a year to pastor but before he died, he went to Federal High Court in
Ibadan to sign before the commissioner of oath that the certificate with the Supreme Court is the original one and every other one asides that is a counterfeit. Pastor Oluseye
also apologized for what he did in 1990.
Thinking the action of Pastor Oluseye would solve the crisis on ground, rather the Pastors took the case to court that their own certoficate is a genuine one.

Ques: What do you think will be a lasting solution to this crisis in CAC now?

Ans: The only solution to the crisis on ground now is that every CAC churche with the original 1985 certificate should come together to flush out these Pastors that are creating crisis on ground as they are not ready to leave the postion due to the benefits attached to it

Ques: Considering the establishment of different CAC churches and these new generational pastors, what can you say about people's view on CAC as a Church that defrauds people?

Ans: People see Christ Apostolic Church as a church that defrauds because discipline has lost its place in the denomination. The inflow of these so called pastors has made people to lose their trust in the tenets of this great vision.But measures are being put in place to put an end to all these bad story about Christ Apostlic Church. We pray to Almighty God for a new dawn in CAC so as to regain the lost glories.
