WHAT A SHAMELESS COUNTRY : A REJOINDER TO THE ABRUPT TERMINATION OF SHEIKH NURU KHALID BY THE SO CALLED BOARD OF TRUSTEES.

What a country!

The integrity and boldness of Sheikh Nuru Khalid to "take the bull by the horn" and accept responsibility for his action to speak the hard truth to power cannot be overemphasized.

According to him, leadership is to serve and own up to your responsibilities.

Prejudice apart and without mincing words, he puts the blame of the rising surge of insecurities in the country on Mohammadu Buhari's bad leadership.

Suffice it to say that a lot of negative religious rhetorics have blindfolded the people that they cannot differentiate between governance and their so called faiths.

Is the cleric sermon and the aftermath effect not an eye opener that the country is in a state of political Cul-De-Sac?

On the 3rd of April, 2022 the Islamic scholar, Sheikh Nuru Khalid was suspended as the Imam of Apo Legislative Mosque, Abuja.

As if that was not enough, the too many backlash reactions from concerned citizens that saw the strong voice of Sheikh Nuru Khalid as the voice of the downtrodden made the board of trustees in a swift action to sack the cleric about 48 hrs after the initial suspension.

To the many sycophants, opportunists, onlookers and protagonists of Buhari's bad leadership, I am going to leave you with the words of a great philosopher, Martin's Niemolier to conceptualize the trend of killing sprees in the country:

"First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out - because I was not a socialist. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out - because I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out - because I was not a jew. Then they came for me, and there was no one left to speak for me".

Yes, the Roads, Waterways, Airspace and Railroads are no longer save in Nigeria and it is a matter of time before the Fulani Terrorists, Boko Haram and Bandits close in and tacitly or directly affected all the members of the Board of Trustees of Apo Legislative Mosque, Abuja with their "regular trademarks"; that are killing, maiming, raping, abduction and robbery.

Again, they are on your doorstep and only time will tell!

Hmmmm, who will now be the voice of the voiceless in this hopeless and despair country called Nigeria?

A moribund of democracy and a Banana Republic indeed!

I am uncontrollable weeping for the masses in this contraption called Nigeria.

Again, Time Will Tell.
