NEW YORK, New York; June 9, 2023: As part of its effort to increase tourism resilience, the Global Tourism Resilience and Crisis Management Centre (GTRCMC) has inked a letter of intent with acclaimed New York based University, George Washington.

The letter of intent between the GTRCMC establishes several areas of cooperation, starting with the setup of a Satellite Center at the University. This would make George Washington the first U.S. academic affiliate of the GTRCMC, chaired by Hon. Edmund Bartlett, Minister of Tourism, Jamaica and Co-Chair of the GTRCMC.

"This partnership is extremely timely and represents a major step towards strengthening tourism resilience globally. With our network of Satellite Centers across the globe, the addition of George Washington University will enrich our research and implementation capabilities," said Co-Chair of the GTRCMC and Minister of Tourism, Hon Edmund Bartlett.
